Dr. Anna Kuchenbecker is deputy director of the Aspen Institute Germany. Her priorities include transatlantic relations, Russia and the Aspen Leadership Seminar. Previously, Anna worked for various nonprofit organizations and think tanks in Washington DC for more than 13 years. She was a Senior Partnership Adviser at the Institute for Inclusive Security, which promotes women's participation in peace and conflict resolution processes. She has also worked for the Brookings Institution, George Washington and American University. Anna studied Eastern European history and Slavic studies in Hamburg and did her doctorate at the TU Berlin at the Center for Anti-Semitism on Soviet nationality politics.
