Carla Güntert has a passion for International Relations, specially the convergence of communications
and security policy. Growing up in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, she obtained an MA Double
Degree in International Security from the University of Warwick (GBR) and the American University in
Washington D.C. (USA) as well as a BA Degree in Media and Communication from the University of
Fribourg (CHE). She began her career in politics as the General Secretary for Young Liberals
Switzerland, then conducted a fellowship with the Swiss Foreign Ministry after her graduate studies.
Currently she is an Impact Analysis Lead within the Communications Team at the Center for Security
Studies (CSS) at ETH Zurich. After work, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and cross country skiing.
