Please join the Woodrow Wilson Center's Africa Program for a briefing and discussion with UN Special Representative of the Secretary General Alan Doss. The United Nation's largest peacekeeping operation has been in the Democratic Republic of the Congo for over a decade now; questions about the future of the MONUC operation are constantly brought up among not only Congolese politicians but many of the involved international
actors. In this fiftieth year anniversary of the Congo's independence, the trajectory of the country remains quite unsure. Doss will discuss the current political situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo, addressing the
challenges and opportunities this country faces in this important milestone
Please RSVP by e-mail to Africa Program Assistant Justine Lindemann at firstname.lastname@example.org.
